Similar to the colorful Sam Houston, first president of the Republic of Texas, this bourbon is full of character. The high percentage of rye in the mash bill gives this bourbon its spicy character. Combined with a deep char, this expressive whiskey is robust yet elegant.

Nosing reveals delicate scents of red fruit, rye bread and oak resin.
The palate blossoms with rich, tangy flavors including nutmeg, wood resin, corn mash, rye bread and dry cereal.
The finish is long, sweet and opulently textured.
